Delete your WordRay account

Delete your account from the WordRay app

1. Open WordRay and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Open the Account section from the main WordRay screen.
3. Select Delete account.
4. Read the confirmation message and confirm permanent deletion.

If you cannot access the app or your account, you can submit a deletion request by email instead.

Request deletion by email

Send a request from the email address connected to your WordRay account. This helps us verify that the request belongs to the account owner.

You can also email support@wordray.app manually using the subject WordRay account deletion request.

Information to include

Please include:

• The email address associated with your WordRay account
• A clear statement that you want the account and associated data permanently deleted

We may request limited additional information when reasonably necessary to verify account ownership and protect users against unauthorized deletion requests.

Data deleted with your account

Once the deletion request has been verified and completed, deletion applies to data associated with the WordRay account, including:

• Account and authentication information
• Saved document titles and text
• Reading positions and progress
• Reading speed and application settings
• Bookmarks, excerpts and bookmark notes

Limited data retention

Some limited information may remain temporarily in system backups or security logs before being automatically overwritten or removed.

We may retain limited information when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or compliance with an applicable legal obligation.

Retained information will not be used to continue providing the deleted WordRay account.

What happens next

1. WordRay Support receives your request.
2. We verify that the request relates to your account.
3. We complete the deletion without unnecessary delay.
4. We send confirmation when the request has been completed.

Deleting individual documents

If you do not want to delete your entire account, you can remove individual documents from your WordRay library. Deleting an individual document also removes its associated reading progress and bookmarks, subject to temporary backup retention.
